Melodious Monk The Forbidden Drug Album

THE FORBIDDEN DRUG - Melodious Monk

IN STORES: OCT 27th 2011 | Pre-Order now: http://melodiousmonk.bandcamp.com/album/the-forbidden-drug

BIO:

The influence of any drug has been said to put it’s users in a dark place.  Many search for an escape from the anxieties of life through addiction to a substance, sadly there left digging themselves a deeper grave to lay in.  The Forbidden Drug was produced to mimic that emotional darkness, the pain of solidarity, and the battle with a horrible addiction.

Many lyricist stray away from being too preachy but Melodious Monk doesn’t hold back his biblical conviction and known remedy for conquering any drug addiction on this album.  Through passionate stories of murder, pleads for forgiveness, battles with faith, the reality of losing what you may love the most and concluding it with a look at what is needed to beat the addiction you get the chance to experience “The Forbidden Drug”.

The Forbidden Drug is entirely produced by Melodious Monk himself with no features and has some of the darkest soundscapes that he has ever produced. Rapid drum rolls, viscous break beats, haunting strings, horrifying sound effects with subtle chord structures and focused story telling.  There are three main focal points of the album, first: how the drug came into existence, second: the side effects t of The Forbidden Drug, and third: how to beat the addiction.  If you expected this album to be witty punchlines, study dance infused tracks, and a bright outlook on life then you have already become a victim of “The Forbidden Drug”.

We hope you enjoy the album
